Sephora is beautiful.

Beautiful: I always joke that my version of Breakfast at Tiffany's would be called Lunchtime at Sephora! I mean, does it get any better? An entire store dedicated to makeup, skincare, haircare, and fragrance... My heart skips a beat everytime I think about it. I could spend an entire day inside the store. They remember my birthday, the introduce me to new products, they give me perks for being a VIB (Very Important Beauty Insider), and now (without knowing it) they have made my dream come true by making it so easy for all women to find their perfect foundation shade. Sephora, you are beautiful and I love you!

Gorgeous: Let me introduce you to Sephora + Pantone's Color IQ. It's a new color-matching service that will find your exact foundation shade. It only takes five minutes and is absolutely free! Using a handheld tool they take a reading of your skintone in three different areas (forehead, cheek, and jawline) based on the reading, you are given a Color IQ (skintone number). That IQ is then put into their computer system that generates perfect foundation matches in a variety of different brands they carry. You can try on any foundation suggestions. Simple, right? They email your Color IQ and all recommended foundation shades for your reference (see mine above). It's gorgeous made simple!

Makeup: Sephora can really do not wrong in my eyes. That being said, I wanted to make sure that this blog post was as unbiased as possible. So what did I do? I ask my sister Toni to come along for the ride to keep me honest and to try it for herself. I wanted to test the new Color IQ service to see if it lived up to it's promises. After all, who better to try it than me? I personally own and have worked with so many different foundations! Well, I am here to tell you that it 100% works! My Color IQ is 2Y07. Every shade that it suggested are the exact color matches that I own or have used. The only foundation that my Color IQ suggested that I have never tried was Urban Decay Naked Weightless. So what's a gal to do during her Lunchtime at Sephora? I tried it and purchased it!

Do someting lovely: On your next visit to Sephora, let them find your Color IQ. It is so cool and it will not disappoint!

Special thanks to my beautiful sister Toni for snapping these iphone pictures of me and for keeping me honest. She had fun finding her Color IQ too!

Polish is lovely.

Beautiful: One question people often ask me is "What is your favorite beauty secret?". To me, it always comes down to three main things that can really polish your look. I want to share these with you because they are 100% true. Promise.

Gorgeous: No makeup will ever look polished unless these three basics happen. Be sure to incorporate these gorgeous tips and see how much of a difference it makes!

1. Wear the correct foundation: Please click here to learn how to get correctly color matched. Also, our beautiful friends at Sephora have just launched Sephora + Pantone Color IQ. It is amazing! Basically, they take a reading of your skintone with a handheld machine and it generates a Color IQ. Based on that IQ, they give you foundation color suggestions in multiple brands. Never wear the wrong color foundation again! Stay tuned for my upcoming post on my Sephora + Pantone Color IQ experience!

2. Groom Eyebrows: Eyebrows are the frames to the face. Eyebrows are like snowflakes, there are no two alike. Eyebrows are sisters, not twins. I'm sure you know where I am going with this... It is super important to understand what shape brows looks best for your face. Eyebrows can dramatically and instantly change your look. I always recommend seeing a professional aesthetician. We can all talk openly about our eyebrow stories, we're friends here! Look at these pictures of Lauren Conrad and Camilla Belle (images What a difference brows can make!

3. Good Skincare: Make sure to invest in a good skincare regimen that meets your needs. It is so important to take care of your skin. Your makeup will look that much better for it. I swear by my Clarisonic. I got a new one earlier this year (in Pantone Color of the Year - Emerald) and it really is worth the investment! I love it!

Do something lovely: My new saying these days to my sisters and my girlfriends is " We deserve this!". I think it's a good reminder to yourself. So whether you are getting your eyebrows done or splurging on a Clarisonic -- just remember, we all deserve a little polish every now and then!

Special thanks to the ever so lovely Macaila Fonseca from Anastasia Beverly Hills who is the expert beauty behind my eyebrows! You can catch her on Instagram at MMFONS638 to see some of her fab work!

Social is lovely.

Beautiful: Whenever I'm putting on lipstick in the ladies room at a restaurant or bar, I always peer over to the gal next to me (in front of the mirror) to sneak-a-peek at what's inside her makeup bag! Have you ever done that? You would be surprised by how many people I have chatted up and how many beauty secrets I've learned. It's so awesome! I thought it would be fun to do a monthly "What's in Her Makeup Bag" blog post. Don't be surprised when I email you next month to be our September featured person! I would love to know what's in all of your makeup bags!

Gorgeous: Isn't Patricia gorgeous? I love her and Piqued PR. The funny thing is that we've never actual met in person. We connected earler this year over social media. I will be the first person to admit that prior to starting my business I had no idea about the social media world. I didn't understand it, I didn't have time for it, and I really didn't want anything to do with it. Until, I quickly realized that it was way less "To Catch A Predator" and way more about connecting with people that you actually have a ton in common with. I have met so many amazing people and read some really inspiring blogs! I'm so glad I decided to go out of my comfort zone (or we wouldn't be here at this very moment!).

Makeup: Take a peek in Patricia's makeup bag (see above). I love the Kate Spade makeup case, super cute!

Do something lovely: Join the Mae Movement. By purchasing a braclet hand-crafted in Nepal, you will help a number of women earn a fair wage and avoid falling victim to poverty and human trafficing. Please help Patricia at Piqued PR and Mae Movement spread the word to help these women lead a sustainable life. You can also see my lovely friend Diana Elizabeth modeling the braclets here. They are super cute!

Special thanks to Patricia for being featured on the blog. I must say, you had me at Pantone! Looking forward to hearing about your new house and about all the exciting things Piqued PR has in store! xo

Wine is pretty.

Beautiful: Hi! It's been a while since I've written. You may have noticed that my blog posts have changed a bit. The main reason I started this blog was to share tips and techniques on how-to achieve wearable makeup by inspiring real beauty and introducing easy techniques to achieve looks. You can expect more tutorials, lovely inspiration, and maybe a fun video or two!

Gorgeous: Okay, I must admit, if you gave me any makeup look to pick from, I would not immediately select wine. It's not that I don't think it's pretty or like it, I do. It's just that I tend to get stuck in the same makeup routine sometimes. We stick with what works for us, right? So, I was really excited to do this fall blog post. It got me out of my summer makeup rut and ready to sip a pumpkin spice latte and wear my wine-colored lipstick. Fall, I'm ready for you!

Makeup: You can call it wine, black cherry or bordeaux. Whatever you call it, please promise me you'll try it (the Maybelline ColorSensational in Deepest Cherry is ONLY $5.54 at Target)! Here are some of my favorite fall picks!

1. Maybelline ColorSensational in Deepest Cherry

2. Illamasqua in Unnatural

3. Bobbi Brown Lipstick in Crimson

4. Marc Jacobs Beauty in Jezebel

5. Smashbox Lipstick (Limited Edition) in Black Cherry

6. Lancome Nail Polish in Rouge Reglisse

7. Urban Decay in Revolution Lipstick in Menace

8. Essie nail polish in Bordeaux

Do something lovely: If you are a wine drinker, or in need of a lovely gift, please visit ONEHOPE. I received a bottle from a friend as a house warming gift. ONEHOPE donates a portion of your purchase to one of their partner charities. I'll drink to that!

Special thanks to everyone that has Pinned one of my blog posts on Pinterest! If you are reading this blog, please be sure to "Like" me on Facebook and follow me on Twitter. More to come!

Vamp is gorgeous.

Makeup look to fall for: Fall is almost here! I'm hopeful that the weather in Phoenix will start to cool soon (fingers crossed). For many of my friends in other parts of the country, cool weather is already creeping in (lucky)! Don't be shy, try this wine inspired makeup look! If I can, so can you! It looks really pretty on fair & deep skintones.

What reminds you of Fall? Here are my top 5 ways to tell if Fall is finally here (because I can't use the weather as an indaictor)!

1. School starts - Back-to-School is so exciting!

2. College football becomes a major topic of discussion.

3. Starbucks has pumpkin spice lattes available.

4. My favorite fall candle Leaves is at Bath & Body Works.

5. Wine colored lipstick takes the stage.
